Terms of Service
Effective date: March 14, 2026
These terms govern your use of audiclip. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use audiclip.
What audiclip is
audiclip is an ad-supported, AI-powered podcast platform. You connect content sources (like Pocket, Instapaper, or Twitter/X), and our AI generates audio podcast episodes from your saved content. Each user gets a public station with an RSS feed that works with standard podcast apps.
Episodes include sponsored content and advertisements. This is how audiclip stays free. By using the service, you understand and agree that ads and sponsored segments will be included in your generated episodes.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use audiclip.
- You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- One person per account. Don’t share accounts or create multiple accounts.
- Provide accurate information. We may suspend accounts with clearly fake or misleading information.
What you give us
When you connect a content source or submit URLs, you direct audiclip to access and process that content through our AI pipeline. You represent and warrant that:
- You have the right to access the content you submit or connect.
- Your use of audiclip doesn’t violate any agreements you have with third parties (e.g., your employer, content platforms).
- You won’t use audiclip to process content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on others’ rights.
You grant audiclip a worldwide, royalty-free license to access, process, transform, and create derivative works from any content you submit or direct audiclip to access, for the purpose of operating and improving the service. This license ends when you delete your account, except for content already incorporated into generated episodes.
What we create
audiclip generates podcast episodes using AI based on the content sources you select. You pick what goes in — we make the podcast. The generated audio, scripts, and related materials are created by audiclip and remain audiclip’s intellectual property. Your reading list and station configuration belong to you.
We grant you a non-exclusive license to listen to and share your episodes via your station’s RSS feed and public station page. This license exists for as long as your account is active.
audiclip may use generated content for any lawful purpose, including distribution, marketing, and service improvement.
Ads and sponsored content
audiclip is a free, ad-supported service. By using audiclip, you consent to the following:
- Episodes may include sponsored content, advertisements, or promotional segments at audiclip’s sole discretion.
- We may change the format, frequency, placement, and targeting of ads at any time.
- There is no opt-out for ads on the free tier. If we introduce a paid tier in the future, it may offer an ad-free experience.
- You will not remove, skip (via technical means), or interfere with ads in your episodes.
Public stations
By default, your station is public. This means your station page and RSS feed are accessible to anyone on the internet. Your episodes, station name, and profile information are publicly visible.
Private stations may be offered as a paid feature in the future.
Acceptable use
Don’t:
- Use audiclip to generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the AI models, algorithms, or source code behind audiclip.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, servers, or networks connected to audiclip.
- Use automated tools to access the service beyond what we provide (API access, if offered, has its own terms).
- Redistribute generated episodes outside of the RSS feed and station page we provide, without permission.
Copyright and DMCA
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on audiclip infringes your copyright, send a DMCA takedown notice to:
legal@audiclip.com
Your notice must include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) identification of the infringing material and its location on audiclip, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement of good faith belief, and (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
We will process valid DMCA notices and may remove or disable access to the identified content. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
Disclaimers
audiclip is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Specifically:
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations. Don’t rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
- We don’t guarantee that episodes will be generated on any particular schedule or that the service will be uninterrupted.
- We don’t verify the accuracy, legality, or rights status of content you submit for processing.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, audiclip’s total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (which, on the free tier, is $0).
audiclip is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless audiclip and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:
- Content you submit or direct audiclip to process, including any claims by third-party rights holders.
- Your violation of these terms.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
Termination
- You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.
- We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Common reasons include violation of these terms, extended inactivity, or abuse.
- Upon termination, your license to use the service ends immediately. We may retain generated content and data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also retain the protection of mandatory provisions of your country of residence.
